Dhanush and Samuthirakani participated in a movie festival. Dhanush said that he was jealous to see Samuthirakani do role in Rajini’s movie. Dhanush said that he was ready to do any role in the movie Kaala. But, for reasons not known, director Pa Ranjith did not fulfill Dhanush’s desire. In the movie Kaala Rajini has three sons. Dhanush was hopeful that Ranjith would call him for some role in the movie.
Ranjith wanted to get the permission of Rajini before making Dhanush do role in the movie. Rajini contemplated for a long time and then said that it is sufficient if Dhanush is the producer. Also, he did not desire Dhanush to do role in the movie. The reason why Rajini refused to make Dhanush do role in the movie is not known clearly.
