Rajam Balachander Passes Away!

Rajam Balachander, the wife of veteran director “K Balachander,” passed away today at 4:30 am. Rajam Balachander is survived by a son Prasanna Balachander and daughter Pushpa Kandaswamy. Balachander and Rajam had three children, two sons and a daughter. Bala Kailasam, their elder son, died on 15 August 2014 due to pneumonia. On the same year on 23rd December, Balachander died due to cardiac arrest. Rajam Balachander had been suffering from some age-related issues. She is 84. Her funeral is expected to be held today evening at their residence. May her soul rest in peace! Our deepest condolences to Pushpa, Prasanna and their families!
