Rajam Balachander (1956-2014) was an Indian film producer, popular amongst the audience for her work in movies like Duet (1994), Roja (1992), Kalyana Agathigal (1985), etc. Mostly known for her predominant involvement in Kollywood movies, dramas, and TV shows, she was one of the key figures behind the establishment of Kavithalaaya productions.
Although Rajam had established a name for herself in the industry, she is still remembered as the spouse of the legendary filmmaker K Balachander. Over the years, she had produced many films and bagged awards like National Film Award for Best Feature Film, Filmfare Award for Best Film, etc. She lost her life due to poor health at the age of 84.
