Kamal Haasan
, the Universal hero, questioned PETA that when they allow Bull Riding in America, then why can’t they keep quiet for Jallikattu. To his question, PETA India’s CEO, Poorva Joshipura replied that it is not their duty but the duty of PETA US. Jallikattu ban was an initiative by PETA India, says Purva. Jallikattu is not only a traditional sport but a way to develop the native breeds. It is heard that there is a plan to ruin the native breeds and bring in the hybrid breeds and destroy the health and wealth of the nation. Although it is not clearly proved, the public is angry on the so-called Animal Welfare Boards.
