Media Trophy Cricket was held today between the Popular Media that included the Satellite Channels and the Popular Media Websites. Totally eight teams qualified in the quarter-finals of the Media Trophy. In Pool A had Sun TV and Cine Ulagam; Pool B had Zee Tamil and IBC Tamil; Pool C had Dheeran TV and Vendhar TV and Pool D had Nettv4 U and Puthiya Thalaimurai. In the finals, Nettv4U won the toss and elected to bowl. Sun TV team scored 86 runs in the 8-over match and Nettv4U chased it fiercely and ended up with 45. The Runners got Rs 15, 000 cash prize and the winners received Rs 30, 000. In the league matches, Nettv4U players played extremely well and grabbed the Man of the Matches.
