Dhansika’s Short Film Gets One More Award!

“Sinam,” a short film directed by Anandmurthy and produced by Nesan Thirunesan has "Dhansika" in a pivotal role. Already, Dhansika received an award for her Best Performance from the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival. Again, she had been awarded the Best Actress for the short film under the Merit Category at Best Shorts Competition Award. The director of the film, Anandamurthy had also won the award for Experimental Genre. “G V Prakash Kumar” composed the music and the cinematography is by Saravana Natarajan. Best Shorts was established in 2011 and it is the 6th year for the organization in award distribution. Besides Sinam, the other award-winning short films are Mukti, Sakhi, The Firefox Guardian and You And Me. Dhansika, who played in “Peranmai” and “Aravaan,” came to the limelight with “Kabali” featuring Superstar “Rajinikanth” and Radhika Apte.
