Devayani Plays A School Principal!

“Devayani,” the homely actress had carved a beautiful place for her in Kollywood. Her performances in Surya Vamsam with “R. Sarathkumar,” Kadhal Kottai with Ajith Kumar and Bharathi with Sayaji Shinde honored her with awards. Devayani says that after playing in serials in the lead roles, she didn’t get any opportunity in cinema. She joined as a temporary teacher in a school to replace a teacher, who was on leave. As rumors spread that she quit cinema and became a teacher, she lost the chance in playing cinemas. Later, she announced that she is doing a temporary job. Then she had got a couple of films in Tamil including Strawberry. At present, she has been playing a school principal in a Malayalam film, My School. Earlier last year, Devayani was seen alongside “Mohanlal” in a Telugu film Janatha Garage, featuring “N T Rama Rao Jr.”
