, the Central Finance Minister, presents her maiden budget for the year 2019 – 2020. She was the first Woman Defense Minister for fulltime and now the first Woman Finance Minister for the full time. Here are the few features of Budget 2019 – 2020: Vision for $5 Trillion economy driven by investment, Transforming rural lives, New Jal Shakti, Mantralaya to ensure Har Ghar Jal, Enhancing ease of direct and indirect taxation, Strengthening connectivity Infrastructure, Gandhipedia to sensitize society, India’s soft power and Harnessing India’s space abilities. Nirmala presented the budget for 2 hours and 5 minutes.
It is to be noted that Nirmala didn’t carry her budget papers in a suitcase, but in a bag with Indian emblem. Nirmala stated that the Central Government has been taking initiatives to increase foreign investments. She also said that before five years, India had been in the 11th place in the economy and now it is in the fifth place.
