Mohanlal and Priyadarshan are back together!
According to the recent reports, Priyadarshan is all set to direct his 100th film. The search for a proper lead is on, but if everything goes right, Mohanlal will join his movie as the lead actor!
Mohanlal has been a regular with Priyadarshan. The two shot to instant fame with the 1984 movie ‘Poochakkoru Mookkuthi!’, which was also remade into the iconic Bollywood movie ‘Hungama’! Apart from that, the duo has also given some fantastic movies like ‘Boeing Boeing’, ‘Thalavattam’, ‘Abhimanyu’, ‘Kaalapani’, etc.
The two had last worked on ‘Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea’, which had released in 2021. Even though the film was not commercially successful, it managed to impress many, and even won the National Award for Best Feature Film.
Apart from this, Priyadarshan is currently working on multiple projects. One of them is an untitled web series, which would be released in Malayalam on Netflix. The other is a black comedy movie, where Priyadarshan will be reuniting with Akshay Kumar after more than 15 years, their last collaboration being ‘Khatta Meetha’. Not much is known about the plot, except that it will take potshots at black magic.
