Akshay Kumar Gives A Shoutout To Kalyani Priyadarshan Over Lokah Success

Akshay Kumar recently cheered for Kalyani Priyadarshan.

No, the actor isn’t making a Malayalam debut anytime soon. Akshay talked about the unexpected success of Lokah : Chapter 1, which starred Priyadarshan’s daughter in the lead role of a vampire turned superheroine.

Akshay maintained that talent runs in the family, just like her father Priyadarshan, who is an acclaimed director, with whom Akshay Kumar has worked on some of the best films of his career.

In a bid to revive their careers, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are working on not one, but three back to back projects. The first is Bhooth Bangla, which is a horror comedy directed by Priyadarshan. The next is Haiwaan, which is a remake of the Malayalam movie Oppam, where Akshay Kumar would return to the role of the lead antagonist in any movie after more than a decade. Fun fact, Mohanlal, who played the lead role in the original, will be returning for a cameo role in the remake.

However, all eyes shall be on Hera Pheri 3, the much awaited comeback movie of Priyadarshan, which brings back Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal as Raju, Shyam and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte respectively.
