After thanking Malayalam audience for the superb revenues, Mammootty opened up on why he wants to continue working as long as he is capable of. According to him, cinema is his life, and the moment he stops working, people will stop recognizing his worth.

When asked about Indian cinema’s growth in comparison to Hollywood, Mammootty suggested that it is like comparing apples and oranges. According to him, Indian cinema is more about storytelling and the essence of ‘family emotions’. For him, India is a world of diversity, where any kind of movie can be made without trouble. Only a few weeks ago, he credited Mollywood’s success to the changing preferences of the audience.

Mammootty had begun 2024 on an impressive note, with two back to back hits in the form of ‘Abraham Ozler’ and ‘Bramayugam’. He took a step ahead, and got the release of ‘Turbo’ preponed to 23 May. Despite the appreciation for his acting, the movie did not turn out to be extremely successful, and earned only 58 crores as compared to the budget of 70 crores.
