Popular Kannada Star Kashinath Passes Away!

“Kashinath,” the veteran actor, director cum producer passed away today at the age of 67. Kashinath had been the mentor to the popular Kannada stars including Upendra Rao, V Manohar and Sunil Kumar. In his young age, he wanted to become a scientist. While doing his B.Sc degree at Vijaya College, the star developed an interest in the filmmaking. Besides playing in more than forty films, he had also directed and produced the films. He has directed some Telugu films and a couple of Hindi films. Kashinath has produced eleven Kannada films, a Hindi and Telugu film. He was last seen in “Chowka.” Although he had directed a lot of films, Kashinath had an unfulfilled wish to direct an English film. Kashinath was admitted to a private hospital on 16th January 2018 for cancer treatment. He had a cardiac arrest today and his body couldn’t recuperate to the medicines. Kashinath is survived by his wife and two children. May his soul rest in peace! Our deepest condolences to Kashinath’s family!
