“Jaguar,” the most anticipated film of 2016 is the launch pad of Nikhil Kumar, son of Karnataka’s ex-CM, HD Kumaraswamy. The film has been running in the theatres with mixed reviews. Initially, it was said that the film was shot on a budget of Rs. 65 Cr. Similarly, music director, “S Thaman” got the remuneration of Rs. 1 Cr and the cinematographer too got the same amount. Tamannaah Bhatia is said to be the highest paid star in the film with Rs. 1.5 Cr. She charged a whopping amount just for a special song. Jagapati Babu was paid Rs 1 Cr and Ramya Krishnan received Rs. 50 Lakhs. Rao Ramesh was said to have received Rs. 25 Lakhs. “Brahmanandam” and Sampath Raj were paid less than a crore and the heroine too. It is heard that high-end cameras and the exotic locales swallowed some crores. The pre-production and the post-production work cost a bomb, says a report.
