Mad River Pictures of 'Marc Butan's has fixed the Dowdle brothers, who are behind the Owen Wilson starrer “No Escape”. John Erick Dowdle will direct the “Six Minutes to Freedom”. This action thriller is based on a book by John Gilstrap. The action thriller deals with the true story of American Kurt Muse, who was imprisoned, in 1989 for broadcasting a pirate radio station. Muse is said to be the first and only American civilian, who is rescued by the elite special force. Butan, Drew Dowdle, Samuel V Franco, and Laura Bickford are the producers of this movie. Executive producing is handled by Ed Fee. Mad River plans to finance and produce star-driven films per year in the budget of $15 million-$50 million for worldwide release. Mad River Pictures’ latest productions are “The Trap”, which has Idris Elba, Benicio Del Toro and James Franco; and “Norco”.
