SS Rajamouli is not a new name to the Indian cinema industry. The director made the international moviemakers turn back at India with his excellent executing skills. Though he had directed only a few movies so far, they are super hits. Some are hits only in Telugu states, and many are national and international hits. 1. Student No 1

Student No 1 was released in 2001, and this is Rajamouli’s debut film as a director. “N T Rama Rao Jr” made his debut in the film alongside “Gajala.” The film made on a budget of less than Rs 2 crore collected Rs 12+ crores at the box office. Selva made it in Tamil with “Sibiraj” and Sherin following the film's success.

2. Simhadri

A couple of years after the release of Student No 1, Rajamouli made his second film, “Simhadri.” This movie also had Jr NTR as the lead. Bhumika Chawla played the female lead in this action entertainer. It was also a super hit film and set a good fan base for Jr NTR. The film was made on a budget of less than Rs 10 crores, and it collected Rs 46 crores at the box office.

3. Chatrapathi

In 2005, Rajamouli directed “Prabhas” and Shriya Sharan in Chatrapathi. The action entertainer was released on 30th September 2005. It collected Rs 22 crores at the box office, and it was produced for Rs 8 crores.

4. Vikramarkudu

Vikramarkudu is the first Rs 100 crore grosser for Rajamouli. The film grossed Rs 108 crores at the box office, and it was made on a budget of Rs 30 crores. Ravi Teja played the lead in this action entertainer. Anushka Shetty paired him. The cop thriller earned a huge appreciation from the critics and the audience.

5. Yamadonga

Yamadonga is the first fantasy genre film for Rajamouli. This set as a base for his future fantasy dramas. For the third time, he directed Jr NTR. The 2007 movie has “Priyamani,” Mohan Babu and Mamta Mohandas in the lead roles.

6. Magadheera

“Magadheera” is the film that made Rajamouli famous in other South Indian states. Made on a budget of Rs 35 crores, the film collected Rs 150 crores. This is the biggest hit and gained a huge fandom for Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal. The movie was released in 2009.

7. Maryada Ramanna

Maryada Ramanna is the next film directed by Rajamouli. He promoted Sunil Varma to the hero. The film's budget was Rs6 crores and gained Rs 30 crores at the box office.

8. Eega

“Eega,” the fantasy Telugu and Tamil bilingual thriller hit the screens in 2012. “Nani” played a guest role. “Sudeep” played the prominent role as an antagonist, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu played the female lead. It was made in a budget of Rs 30 to Rs 40 crores, and the collection at the box office was Rs 125 crores. Eega started spreading Rajamouli’s excellence to other Asian countries.

9. Baahubali

“Baahubali” is the first film that took 4 years of production. The movie was announced in 2011 and was released in 2015. After many changes in the cast, the film settled with Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Rana Daggubati, and “Sathyaraj” in the lead roles. The sequel to the film was released in 2017. Baahubali was made on a budget of Rs 180 crores, and it collected Rs 650 crores. It was a Telugu and Tamil bilingual. The sequel was made on a budget of Rs 250 crores, and it collected Rs 1810 crores at the box office, creating a new record in Indian film history.

10. RRR

"RRR" is an upcoming Telugu historical film directed by SS Rajamouli. The film has Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgan in the lead roles. This is the first super-duper budget film for Rajamouli. It is made on a budget of Rs 550 crores. The film is all set for a grand release on 25th March 2022.
