Chiranjeevi Opens Up On Completing 47 Years In The Industry

Chiranjeevi recently shared his thoughts on completing nearly five decades [47 years] in the industry.

The Telugu superstar talked about his debut movie Pranam Khareedu, which introduced him to Telugu cinema, and thanked his family, as well as his supporters for their constant love throughout his 47 years in the movie industry.

Born as Konidela Siva Sankara Vara Prasad, the Telugu superstar later became famous as Chiranjeevi. He worked primarily in Telugu movies, while occasionally appearing in Hindi movies as well. Chiranjeevi also tried his hands at politics when he fought the state elections of 2009. He joined the then Central government headed by PM Manmohan Singh.

Chiranjeevi last starred in Bholaa Shankar, which was the Telugu remake of the Tamil action movie Vedalam. Despite his best efforts, Chiranjeevi couldn’t save the movie from emerging as a washout at the box office. He is currently working on two projects : the fantasy  drama Vishwambhara, and the action comedy Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, which will be directed by Anil Ravipudi of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam fame.
