Bollywood has lost its uniqueness due to its obsession with cash-grabbing movie remakes. To better serve their audience, Bollywood filmmakers have started stealing tried-and-true plotlines from regional movies. While some remakes succeeded, many fell far short of the standards set by the originals. These remakes either weren't essential because they didn't improve upon the original, or they didn't manage to capture the same magic for the audience. Released a few months back, Bachchhan Pandey is the remake of the 2014 Tamil film Jigarthanda. The original is a smartly crafted film that is entertaining for every viewer. The Hindi remake is regarded as one of the worst Bollywood remakes ever. It is a below-average film and an even worse remake. Brochevarevarura is a classic Tamil crime comedy about three slackers who befriend a girl in their college, and then trouble ensues. The writing and the performances of the cast received much praise, and it remains a memorable film for the fans. Whereas its Hindi remake, titled Velle was a massive letdown. The makers couldn’t adapt it perfectly, and the performances were also bad. Velle turned out to be a disaster at the box office.

The remake came across as a completely different film, which was not up to the mark. Kareena’s performance was terrible, and the movie failed at the box office.
