Both the movies have a similar story where the guy gets his girlfriend to believe that he is married and then makes his secretary his temporary wife. The Adam Sandler-Jennifer Aniston movie was almost completely copied from the Salman-Sushmita film and yet went on to be quite a success.

The director of Leap Year Anand Tucker denies that the two movies might be linked to each other but it is not difficult to understand that once again another Bollywood film has been an inspiration for a Hollywood movie.
Do Aankhein Barah Haath was an age-old Bollywood movie made by V. Shantaram. The film depicted the story of 12 jail convicts who transformed themselves into responsible civilians. The film was produced in India in 1957. In 1967 director Robert Aldrich made a similar movie titled The Dirty Dozen, which had a similar plot.
