Kuch Kuch Hota Hai – Flaws That Defied Laws

No Doubt Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was a big hit of its time, and won many hearts. Personally, it was my favorite too. This movie defined that love is unconditional, and true love is possible. But, though being a great movie, there were many flaws that defied some natural facts. Their flaws went unnoticed. Some of them are –

1. Tina Is Dying, And She Writes Eight Letters

The fact that after delivery, the condition of Tina (played by Rani Mukherjee) was quite critical and the doctor told Rahul (played by SRK) that the survival is difficult. Still, Tina has no oxygen mask, and no ventilator support. Also, she gets time to write eight letters; these letters had huge stories in them. Also, she handed them to Rahul’s mother to give them to her daughter to read on her each birthday, which meant reading the first letter on the child’s first birthday. Was she expecting her child to be extraordinary to start reading at the age of one?

2. Rahul’s Conversation With Her Daughter

This scene made me wonder, why I didn’t have so much freedom. Anjali (Rahul’s daughter) was waiting for her father since two hours. Like seriously, how irresponsible of him, no care for his child’s safety? Also, on reaching later he apologized when Anjali is angry and argued that she was just his daughter, and not a wife. Were eight year olds even allowed to talk like this?

3. 10 Alarm Clocks, And No Sound After She Walks Down

So this little girl is quite obsessed with her mother’s letters, and she receives them on her birthday. So, she puts up ten alarm clocks to wake her up at 12 o’clock. When the clock hits 12, all the clocks start to scream and she wakes up. When she runs to search the letter, there is no sound of the alarms, and none another member of the house is wake. How is that even possible?

4. 8 Year Old To Understand The Love Story

Tina, while writing the letter forgot that her girl would be just eight years old when she would explain her complicated love story of her life, and Rahul. Also, she expects the girl to do efforts to bring Anjali (played by Kajol) back in her father’s life. What is she teaching her?

5. The College Takes Interest In Rahul, And Anjali

This scene has changed my mind about colleges. After Rahul, and Anjali’s fight, the whole college is interested in their matter. Even the teachers are discussing the spat the two had. Now, I am very much disappointed by knowing the real way college works. (Lol)

6. The Principal Is Sexiest

In this scene, we can see that the Principal (played by Anupam Kher Anupam Kher is a very popular actor, director, and >> Read More... ) is wondering worried, guiding girls not to wear short skirts, and boys to trim their hair but excuses his very own daughter just because she arrived from London. Couldn’t he tell her beforehand about the rules of his college?

7. When Anjali Just sneezes

This scene is so weird, the whole time Rahul was angry with his daughter for going to summer camp in Shimla. But the moment she sneezes, he picks up his bag, and runs all his way to Shimla. He knew that his mother was with Anjali. This was a bit over dramatic.

8. Banners For Rahul, And Anjali

Ok, so now the grown-up Anjali, and Rahul again had a spat over basketball, and decided to play again. The match was decided over the spat a few minutes ago, and in the next scene, we see children holding banners written Anjali, and Rahul on them. How??

9. How Did Aman Find Anjali?

This was one cozy scene where Rahul and Anjali where she suddenly realized that she was engaged, and whatever was happening is wrong. She then run’s away, and strikes a tree where she stayed for a while. She felt a hand on her shoulder, and thinking it to be Rahul’s she confessed her love, only to realize that it was Aman. But how did Aman know that she would be against that tree?

10. The Ending

This scene confused my mind to a great extent. How can a bridegroom, hold his bride’s hand, and throw her at someone she used to love eight years ago. How can he give up like that? Also, how can bride’s parents allow her to marry a guy already having a daughter, and why would they?
