Heart Breaking Bollywood Movies About Disasters Hindi Article

When you hear the words “Disaster Film,” what ideas of disasters come to your mind? Perhaps a film that involves an exploding nuclear power plant, biological weapons, hurricanes or earthquakes. Well, some disaster films are based on true stories, through which the viewers can have a better understanding and appreciation of these life situations. To categorize something as great, it must have qualities that enable it to be the best in its category. These are a few that made the greatest disaster based films in Indian history.

1. Bhopal Express

This film’s plot is set in India, in 1984, concerning a gas tragedy in Bhopal. Careless methods of large corporations and callous public administration by the state caused the formation of a poisonous gas cloud that killed more than 8000 people and injured around 500,000 residents..

2. Kaala Patthar

This film rotates around a man named Vijay, a former Navy officer, who is haunted by his cowardly and humiliating past. Later on, he starts to work in a coal mine where he finds himself in a drama that leads to a flooding of the mine which endangers the lives of hundreds of workers.

3. Dashavatar

This is an interesting film about a biological weapon that could potentially decimate millions of people. It involves a host of individuals but mostly a research scientist who invented the virus but ensured it did not fall into the hands of a terrorist, with the help of a divine intervention in the form of a tsunami.

4. Bhopal

A Prayer For Rain: It’s about a nuclear plant that compromises workers’ and plant’s safety because of the decline in revenue in the sales of pesticides. Eventually, a worker is killed, but the officials state that negligence on the part of the worker was the cause of the accident. As time passes, the plant is shut down, but the chemical gets out despite precautions. Many people suffer because of the release of the chemical into the public.
