The movie was based on was how Shahrukh loved Preity, but could not have her. She loved him too, but was fooled into thinking he cheated on her. Shahrukh then makes a plan to make her hate him and choose Saif instead, as he could not give her the happiness she deserved. Although the story made us cry over and over again, it also had some moments of comedy. The dialogues below are some of the best dialogues from the film:

1) These lines have really deep meanings. They say one doesn’t understand the value of something until they have lost it. In a similar way, one may not understand the values of life, until you realise you only have a few days to live. The lines tell us to live freely, worry less and not count the days of happiness.

2) Shahrukh says these lines to Said as he plans to reunite him with Preity, giving him a theory about women, which Saif really understood.

3) These lines show the strong emotions of loving and letting go. The lines were said as Preity Zinta walked away from Saif, even when he wanted them to be one. So he takes out Saif’s notepad and pretends to read out the lines which aren’t even written, to make Preity realize that Saif was indeed the best for her.

4) These lines had quite emotions and were said by Saif, after being instructed by Shahrukh. Having a heart disease, he wanted Preity and Saif to meet and made plans to reunite them. Saif follows his instructions and says the above lines when Preity inquired where he was for the past two days.
