Star One was immensely popular for its youth-based shows which became a cult amongst the youth and made the channel an instant hit. The channel that was launched 15 years ago introduced shows that were targeted to the youth, and broke the trend of family shows that usually catered the women folk, especially the housewives, generally around issues relating unnecessary Saas-Bahu clashes, not-so-interesting-yet-made-interesting-using-fashionable-clothes patti patni love saga, and in general basically dragging the usual family drama for ages. So here’s presenting a list of 6 of the best shows of STAR ONE. It is worth looking at and reliving those days. Nostalgia!
Remix was one of the coolest shows of its time. With the refreshing faces of the lead cast, Remix made the school look way too cool and entertaining. Remix redefined the way the youth of the country were presented on television. Anvesha’s red highlights created a new fashion trend amongst the Indian girls. The show is like India’s own F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
A story of seven characters with different ambitions, personalities, habits and all, come together to become best friends. MHJT was a story of love and friendship. The series ran for two years successfully covering two seasons before ending on 19 November 2010. It’s been five years, and we still miss Samrat, Gunjan, Nupur and Mayank.

and skipped a beat each time the lead characters met. Set against the backdrop of Sanjeevni Hospital, the love/hate story between hot hunk Armaan Mallik and the always-so-lovely Riddhima Gupta made everyone fall in love head over heels. This classic Indian soap opera is still one of the most watched soaps on YouTube.
“Popat Kaka ki atma ka Popat ud gaya, ud gaya, ud gaya re; Shristey Ke Sarjanhaar se Popat jud gaya, jud gaya, jud gaya re.” Sarabhai VS Sarabhai is the best Indian show ever produced! The lead actors were beautifully cast for the well-written characters. Taking from Maya’s sophistication, Monisha’s middle class attitude (as Maya calls it), Indravadan’s sarcasm, Rosesh’s poems and Sahil’s good form, we loved absolutely everything about the Sarabhais. The last episode made a promise of a second session, but years after it ended, fans are still hoping for the promised sequel. Kyunki Saas bhi Kabhi Bahu thi goes on for seven years, and Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai doesn’t even get a second session? Achche din kahan hai?
