He has been impressive from the time he has made his entry into the Indian television series. His latest project, Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, is a blockbuster TV show, which has given him so much popularity. Controversies and confusions revolved around Vivian Dsena, as he felt that the character that he plays in Madhubala as a father of an 18-year old appears on a high note, as he is just 25 years old at that time. But still, he has made his comeback to his character from this serial.

Vivian was born on June 28, 1988, in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. His father, Duncan Dsena, is a Portuguese and his mother, Shyamlata, is a Hindu, so Vivian grew up with an efficacious bond between two distinct cultures. His sister is Parvara Garcia. He studied in a military school for two years and learned a lot of sports including horse riding. He was also a big fan of football and wished to pursue a career as a football player. He joined various football tournaments when he was in college. His father used to represent the Railways for Football on the National Level, and his mother represented M.P for Hockey. He studied in Lokmanya Tilak High School and later finished an Engineering degree.

After graduation, his career in the industry began by joining the Gladrags Mega Model Manhunt Contest in 2007, where he finished as one of the Top 10 finalists. He continued modeling and appeared in advertisements, before started his career in acting. He also did some ramp shows with some of the famous brands like Spykar, Levis, Pepe Jeans and Flying Machine. He also did advertisements with Pantaloons and Jet Airways.
