BVK Vagdevi

BVK Vagdevi is a Telugu Singer who became famous after she won the Telugu Indian Idol in 2022. She was born on 3rd July 2002 in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. Her father’s name is Mrutunjaya, and her mother’s name is Aruna. Her elder sister’s name is BVK Vaishnavi. Vagdevi has studied Architecture at the Sri Sri University in Cuttack, Odisha. Since her childhood, she has been passionate about singing, and her family has always been supportive of her interests. She now holds a diploma in Classical music. Vagdevi started singing at a very young age. In 2014, she participated in the TV show Paduthu Theeyega season seven. She gives all the credit for her success to her elder sister, who took home tuition for singing from Guru Balarka. Vagdevi, along with her sister, have learned music for more than a decade. The musical duo is known as the Vaiva sisters in Nellore.

The sisters have performed at several functions together. Both sisters participated in the Indian Idol, but Vaishnavi got eliminated after she made it to the top 18 contestants. Vagdevi has always thanked her family and teacher for showing their full support in her interest. After her win at the reality show, she was offered Rs.10 Lakh prize money and an opportunity to sing for Geeta Arts. She hopes to pursue a professional career in the music industry and continue singing Carnatic music with her sister. Aditionally, Vagdevi likes to draw and often shares her Mandala art pieces on her social media handles.
