Rashmi started her career as a dancer. She stepped into films in the year of 2006. After one year, she had worked for two serials in Telugu: Love and Yuva. Up to 2010, she was acting in supporting roles in Telugu movies. In the year of 2010, Rashmi acted in Prasthanam (a Telugu movie). After this movie, actress Sangeetha referred her to the director Mugil who was the director of Kandaen film. She got first chance to lead a main heroine role in Kandaen movie and it was Tamil movie. She got positive feedback for her role and for her performance in the movie.

She got SIMA Award for Best Female Debutant for ‘Guru’ movie. Now, she is doing anchoring for one of the top most comedy shows on ETV i.e. ‘Jabardasth’. She was born and brought up in Vishakapatnam. Her mother tongue is Telugu. She knows English, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada languages. She is a food lover. She likes dancing. She dreamed to wish to be a model, but she couldn’t.
