Praveen Sattaru is an Indian-American screenwriter, producer and film director. He has given his contribution to the Telugu film industry. He is known for his work in the movie Chandamama Kathalu. The film earned him the National Film Award in the category of Best Feature Film in Telugu in 2014. He was born in Andhra Pradesh. He holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He used to work as an SAP Consultant for the company IBM. He used to stay in the United States where he would discuss with his friends about their favorite films. His favorite movies were of K. Vishwanadh. In his free time, he used to write scripts which he would share with his friends. At a certain point in time, he was bored of the work which he was doing and so he decided to leave the USA and return to India and start his career as a filmmaker. His first movie was Life Before Wedding (LBW) in 2010. The movie was romantic drama which dealt with emotions and showcased two stories of how relationships change over a period. The movie starred Abhijit, Chinmayi, Rohan, Nishanti, Sidhu and Asif in the lead roles.

His second movie Routine Love Story was in 2012. The film was produced by Chanakya Booneti and starred Regina Cassandra and Sundeep Kishan. The music of the film was given by Mickey J Meyer. On asked in an interview to Praveen of why he named the movie ‘Routine Love Story’ he answered that the film showed the routine which couples share in their relationship. The film showcased the small moments of happiness, fights, quarrels which are a part of every relationship. The movie was appreciated by the audience and the critics as well. In 2014, he did the movie Chandamama Kathalu. It was an anthology movie produced by Chanakya Bhooneti. Its story was based on eight small different stories which are interconnected to each other. The movie starred Krishnudu, Lakshmi Manchu, Chaitanya Krishna, Naresh, Vennela Kishore, Aamani, Richa Panai, Naga Shourya, Abhijeet, and Amitha Rao in lead roles. Chandamama Kathalu’s music was given by Mickey J Meyer. The movie was a huge hit in the theaters. He married to Archana Sattaru. He won the National Film Award in the category of Best Feature Film in Telugu in 2014 for the movie Chandamama Kathalu. His other film includes Guntur Talkies in 2015.

Marthand K Venkatesh is a well known professional film editor who is mainly recognized for his works in Telugu cinema or Tollywood. He was born as the son of the famous K. M. Marthand, the most renowned film editor in the Telugu film industry and as the nephew of B. A. Subba Rao, a legendary director in the Tollywood film industry. As a young boy, he used to visit his father’s office where he saw him work. After a certain period, his father, K. M. Marthand had become an alcohol addict and his health quickly declined due to increased consumption of alcohol. Due to this, young Venkatesh had offered to assist his father with his editing, all while he was still doing his higher secondary education. ​Marthand made his debut into the field of film editing after he had an honest conversation with filmmaker, K. Raghavendra Rao. During the conversation, Mr. Rao had asked Venkatesh for his stand on Rao’s then newly released ‘Coolie No. 1’. After honestly elaborating on his likes and dislikes, an impressed K. R. Rao offered Venkatesh the job of editing for his film ‘Allari Premikudu’. Later on, he was given a continuous array of films to edit.  Marthand has been the man behind some hit Telugu flicks which gained him popular recognition and a respectable name in the industry. Some of his best works include, ‘Pelli Sandadi’, ‘Preminchukundam Raa, Bavagaru Bagunnara?’, ‘Arya’ in 2004, ‘Venky’ also in 2004, ‘Bommarillu’ in 2006, ‘Arundhati’ in 2009, ‘Arya 2’ in 2010, ‘Life Is Beautiful’ in 2010, ‘Uyyala Jampala’ in 2013, etc. He was nominated and won the award for Best Editor four times at the Nandi Awards for ‘Tholi Prema’, ‘Daddy’ in the year 2001, ‘Pokkiri’ in 2006, and for ‘Arundhati’ in the year 2008.

M R Varma, who is an amazing editor starting off his career in 2007, with the movie Chirutha, a movie about to people who fell in love, who met each other unexpectedly on an island. Work was done well, though it was his first work, as a debut. Since then without a break, he has been asked for or called out for editing many movies which turned out to be a great. Then later he worked for the movie Swagatham (2008), a movie written and directed by Dasarath starring Jagapati Babu, Bhumika Chawla, and Anushka Shetty. A movie about a business man who came to the USA with his daughter, who seems to bring up a connection between an Indian girl who is quite a lot of financial problems. In the movie it was clearly seen, how good the picture was on the screen, giving the touch of professionalism. Ready (2008) a movie about a boy named Chandu, an engineering student who falls in love with a girl, Pooja. But then comes across some problems where she had to face in her life. Nenninthe (2008) A film about a man who struggles to follow his dream to be a director, though he is working under an established director while having some trouble with a local goon. A movie which requires action and scenes that should enhance the act, M R Varma took up the job very well in his hands. King (2008) a movie about a man whose heir to a large estate was thrown off, because of his relative, who had conspired against him. Later then trying to fall in love with a singer by donning the avatar of a software engineer. Aa Okkadu (2009) a thriller movie directed and written by N S Murthy. Boni (2009) a movie about a two people who wanted to begin a business but end up kidnapping a politician’s daughter, who is planning to create drama by herself to be kidnapped, so that she could teach her father a lesson. Bumper Offer (2009), Ek Niranjan (2009), Pravarakyudu (2009), Namo Venkatasha (2010), Aha Naa Pellanta (2011), Teen Mar (2011), Mr.Nookayya (2012), Dhenikaina Ready (2012), Gundello Godari (2013), Action (2013), Moksha (2013), Potugadu (2013), Paandavulu Paandavulu Thummeda (2014) were some of his other works that was seen to very well but may not have been an attraction for everyone. Nee Jathaga Nenundali (2014), Malini & Co. (2015), Bhale Manchi Roj (2015), Dookudu (2011), Aagadu (2014), Baadshah (2013) are some movies that stood out from his ordinary works, which did create an impact, on screen Few of his well-known works were Dookudu, Aagadu, Baadshah and so on. The reason is that these movies where so good that his editing was seen to be so good that we wouldn’t recognize any error, anywhere that can be noticed on the big screen. He was also Awarded as the best Editor in the event of Santhosham Awards. And after all the work he has done since the year 2007, it was an honor to receive this award, and holding his reputation and recognition. Another Version of this Bio... Varma has worked for twelve years in the Telugu film industry as his debut was in the year 2017. Chirutha in the year 2007 was Varma’s debut film as an editor. He has worked with many popular actors like Mahesh Babu, Sonu Sood, Ileana D'Cruz, Ravi Teja and Tamannaah Bhatia. Since his debut in 2007, he has worked on thirty-eight movies. Varma’s recent work was in the movie Amar Akbar Anthony in the year 2018.
