Mohammad Ali Baig is an Indian filmmaker of ad & documentary films, referred to by the media as “Global Face of Hyderabadi Theatre,” “Sultan of Epics,” and “Master of Revival.” He was born in Hyderabad and directed & produced over 400 advertising, along with corporate films for leading Indian & foreign brands in India, Thailand, France, UK, US. He is a founder-curator of Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival, one of the most prestigious theatre festivals in the country, held annually in Hyderabad during October-November. During this launch, State IT Secretary J.Yash Ranjan, INPR Commissioner Naveen Mittal and along with some actors & actresses, gathered.

“The festival has grown out of its infancy, and every year, he tries to do something innovative to be recognized in India,” says J.Yash Ranjan. Baig never wanted to be in theatre as it was very stark and intense for him. He believes it was difficult to live up to the persona and standard of his father. Baig started with “Taramati,” a grand production where he amazed many by putting live horses & camels on the hillock in Hyderabad’s Taramati Baradari. In 2005, he formed Qadir Ali Baig Theatre foundation along with his mother, Begum Razia Baig & Lakshmi Devi Raj, as a tribute to his legendary father (a doyen of drama) and to revive quality theatre in Hyderabad.

Baig’s wife, Noor Baig (Writer & Actress), has been a part of the theatre foundation since 2014 and performed worldwide. Some of her originals received standing ovation around the world. He also did a co-production called “40 Wings,” and traversed almost the entire scope of Indian theatre as a child & avant-garde would theatre as a teenager. Most of the Quadir Ali Baig has presented French theatre production in the past. France Foodbank Theatre & Qadir Ali Baig has organized lots of workshops in Hyderabad to create theatre awareness. He often visits art exhibitions to see young artists coming up with vibrant art exhibition and is into bright and lively art & paintings. In 2019, Baig was honored to be a special guest to award SSC Toppers (girls) at Dawn High School, Hyderabad, India.
