Sankranthi Works Wonders For Tollywood

Tollywood is back in action!

The Sankranthi festival has worked wonders for the Telugu industry, after a not so impressive innings last year. Two films have turned out to be huge commercial hits, while one tanked at the box office under the weight of expectations.

As mentioned earlier, Chiranjeevi finally returned in style with Anil Ravipudi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. In a way, this also marks Nayanthara’s first box office success since Jawan, which had released in 2023. However, Chiranjeevi wasn’t alone.

Navin Polishetty also returned to Tollywood with a bang through Anaganaga Oka Raju. Made on a low budget of between 10 and 20 crores, the movie has earned nearly 30 crores through net domestic collections. Unfortunately, Prabhas couldn’t join the party as The Raja Saab tanked at the box office. However, the actor has nothing to lose, since he is awaiting the release of Fauzi and Spirit, which has the capability of changing his status in both Tollywood and Bollywood.
