Vishnu Edavan

Vishnu Edavan is one of the most prominent contributors to the Tamil film industry. He is a versatile artist with many skills, and he has worked as a lyricist, co-director, director, and much more.

Vishnu Edavan was born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. He did his schooling at the Lisieux Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore, and then did his further education at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Ettimadai, Tamil Nadu.

To make a career in the Tamil film industry, Vishnu Edavan arrived in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Apart from directing movies, Vishnu Edavan has also been a successful lyricist and has written many songs for the Tamil film industry. Some of his popular songs are "Polakkatum Para Para" for the movie Master, "Porkanda Singham", and "Nayagan Meendum Varaar" for the movie Vikram. He also wrote lyrics for Kavin’s  Dada movie, which has captured the hearts of many. He received much appreciation, fame, and acknowledgment for writing the lyrics for the Naa Redy song from the Keo movie.

It is said that he is a huge fan of South India’s well-known actor Kamal Hassan.Some of his works as a co-director include Managaram (2017), Kaithi (2019), Master (2021), and Vikram (2022). He has also directed a movie named Kalki (2018).

He is a hardworking and dedicated artist and is truly an asset to the Tamil film industry.
