Balakumaran is a popular writer, who has written many books and he also has written screenplays and dialogues for the films too. Born in the year 1946, this versatile writer has contributed his works to the cinema for more than a dozen films. His stories had gotten special audiences too. He is famous for his books and stories that got released in the Tamil periodicals such as Kumudam, Ananda Vikatan and Kalki. Some of his works in cinema include Nayakan, Guna, Gentleman, Kadhalan, Baasha, Sivasakthi, Ulaasam, Jeans, Mugavaree, Manmadhan and Pudhupettai.

He is very popular for his literary works such as Mercury Pookal, Krishna Arjunan, Udayar, Agalya, Thunai, Guru, Manam Uruguthey, Kadhal Arangam, Marakal, Thozhan and Gangai Konda Chozhan. He has written more than 150 novels and short stories. He is called by the readers as Ezhutthu Sitthar, which means the person who do magic with his writings. He was honored with various awards for his literary works. His awards are Sir Raja Annamalai Chettiyar Award, Illakiya Sindhanai Award, Cinema Express Award and State award for the best dialogue writer for the movie Kadhalan. He has also received few more state awards for his literary works such as Kadarpalam and Sugajeevanam. He resides in Chennai with his family and enjoying his life with his literary works.

Viji is a popular dialogue writer and director in Tamil cinema. His native place is a village called Moolanvanchery, which is near Papanasam. He did his degree course in Ooty, but did not complete his graduation. He left Ooty and travelled to Chennai to seek chances to enter into the Tamil film industry. His latest venture in dialogue writing is Jyotika’s 36 Vayathinile. He has also directed the hit films like Vellithirai, which has Prithviraj, Prakash Raj and Gopika. Alli Thantha Vaanam, which has Murali, Prabhu Deva, Laila and Neha is the debut movie of Viji as a director and it was a hit movie too. After the success, he started to write dialogues for films like Bala, Mozhi, Azhagiya Theeye and many more. He has worked as a screenplay writer of director Radha Mohan. Viji is ready to direct his next film, but he still likes to write dialogues for the films. Viji says he has learnt a lot in his life, after he settled in Chennai. He has interest in reading the books. He says, books increase the knowledge and he has almost read all the epics. He has also read the foreign author books, which were translated in Tamil. Viji has got many friends in and out the cinema field. He feels proud that he could understand the feelings of a woman and the resultant is the dialogues of his film 36 Vayathinile. He gets inspired from each and every person, he meets. His next movie is a romantic themed thriller movie. He says his movie is a decent one, which can be enjoyed with the entire family. Viji is introducing new hero and the heroine in this movie. He believes that his film would be a successful one. Viji advises the youngsters to respect their parents, who sacrifice their entire life for their children.
