Gayathri Girish is an Indian vocalist who has been working in the Tamil music industry. Gayathri was born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and has spent most of her days in Chennai. She has done her undergraduate studies in Mathematics, where she was a gold medallist, and has done her PG in Computer Application from the University of Madras. Her mother, Padmini Srinivasan, is her first music guru who taught her music from a young age, and later, she got passionate about it. She has been a student of Vidwan Vaigal.S.Gnanaskandan and Padma Bhushan, Sangeetha Kalanidhi Madurai T.N.Seshagopalan.
Gayathri has been awarded with several prestigious awards, such as Gaana Rathna, Yuva Kala Bharati, and Crazy Mohan Award of Excellence. She works as an A-grade artist in the All India Radio, Chennai.
