Karaikudi Mani

Karaikudi Mani is an Indian vocalist who had worked predominately in the Tamil music industry. Mani was born on 11 September 1945 in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, India. His actual name was Ganapathy Subramanyam. He is a master in playing the classical instrument known as Mridangam. His father’s name was T. Ramanatha Iyer, and Pattammal was his mother. At a very young age of three, he got inclined towards music. He started playing mridangam, and his passion took him to great heights of achievement. He is the founder of Sruthi Laya Seva School which is spread across Australia, London, US, and Canada. It has it main branch in Chennai, and a key branch in Bangalore. Karaikudi is not only known in India, but his talent is also appreciated worldwide. He has shared the stage with several legendary international artists such as Paul Grabowsky, Eero Haemmeneimi, Livio Magnini, Paul Simon, and many others. He is honored with several national and international awards.
