Gnana Rajasekaran’s critically acclaimed film, Mogamul, was his debut movie alongside Archana Joglekar. But he failed to make a mark in the film industry, and so he shifted to television. Forty more serials were done by him, and he came to limelight after his portrayal as Bhaskaran in the television serial, Kolangal. This success led him to be featured in many more shows and dramas. ‘Hollywood to Bollywood’ is the name of his home productions, on which he intended to work from 2009 onwards.
His first release film was entitled Kathai, which features many newcomers, but the film had a low success rate. The film earned mixed reviews and a critic from Sify.com stated he “should be patted on his back for touching up on such a heavy subject”. Another project entitled Kaiyazhuthu has started, which was starred by Shaan, but was then dropped down. In May 2012, he announced another project with Samuthirakani in the lead role, but it also failed to materialize. The year 2015 had two of his releases namely, “Aambala” and “Pencil.” These two movies have filmed him as an actor.
