Venkatraghavan aka Raaghav, was born on April 18, 1974 in Madurai. Though his passion was acting, he has a very strong educational background. A gold medalist from College of Engineering Guindy Chennai and then on a Post graduation from University of Illinois, he started his career as a software Engineer.
His strong passion towards media attracted him to Small Screen and he became an anchor. He did strong roles serials like Anni, Alaigal and appeared in few episodes of “piriyamudan KB”. He acted as a terrorist in a serial called Arasi and did a negative role in Anni. He anchored a 26 week show called “O podu”, which was a Vikatan Televistas Children’s show. His interest towards music made him start a music troupe Magic Factory which has done music for jingles and also for tele serials.
He is married to Preetha who is also a TV artist and together they appeared in dance reality shows called Jodi number one in star Vijay and Manaada Mayilada in Kalaignar TV. They have one daughter. When he set eyes towards big screen he got many offers and he has done nearly 15 films from 2003 until now. He has played the lead role in a movie Nanjapuram. He has done few advertisements and tele films also.
Raaghav is a health freak and believes in meditation and healthy eating.
