Initially, he worked as a mechanical engineer in companies like EID Parry and GlaxoSmithKline in Delhi. Later, he decided to become a music director. He learned to play the piano at Musee Musical, connected with Trinity College, London.

In 2011, his friend Naveen, who directed and acted in Moodar Koodam, gave him a chance to compose five songs for the movie.
