Mathangi

Mathangi Rajshekar Jagdish is a playback singer from India, who sang the song X Machi in the blockbuster film, Ghajini. She completed her schooling in the capital city of India, Delhi, and pursued her graduation in Bangalore. Mathangi got the first chance to perform her first solo song for the movie, choklet. Her first duet was also from the same movie. So far Mathangi has sung in more than 15 languages, and this is due to her versatile upbringing and ability to speak different Indian languages like Tamil, Bengali, and Hindi, etc.

In the year 2011, Mathangi was a part of the show, Coke Studio, which gets aired on the popular channel, MTV, where she elegantly sang few parts of Tu Hai Yahaan, “Khilte Hain Gul Yahan” and Thyagaraaja Kriti Brovabharama. This fusion song of Mathangi was featured in the initial episode of Coke Studio. She was also a part of the live MTv Coke Studio. Apart from singing, Mathangi has also hosted and judged many South Indian Music Shows like Sangeetha Mahayuddham and Super Singer. Mathanga says that it’s her love for traveling that helps her in relating to different people from various backgrounds.  Her husband is a vice president of a multinational bank. Mathangi has a keen interest in watching sports and cooking. She loves Mexican, Lebanese and Thai cuisine the most. Mathangi loves cooking a variety of dishes for her family members.   Apart from this, she also likes collaborating with designers for different shows.
