Akshaya Ramnath

Akshaya Ramnath is a singer based in the Kollywood film industry. Her mother, Smt. A. Jayanthi was her first guru and she received her initial training from her. Apart from that, Sri. Chitraveena Ganesh and Sri. K.N. Shashikiran, Smt. Padma Sandilyan, and Smt. Rajeshwari who is a professor at the Music Academy in Chennai were some of her teachers from whom she received Carnatic Vocal singing style. She also has a Master of Fine Arts in Carnatic Music from the Annamalai University in Chidambaram. She has further undergone advanced music training under the tutelage of Smt. Prarthana Sai Narasimhan, who is the disciple of Smt. Mani Krishna Swamy and Sri Chingleput Ranganathan.

She has worked in Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women in Chennai, as a Music Lecturer, training more than 500 students in over three years of Carnatic music. She also has ten years of experience teaching Carnatic music in the US. She has left a remarkable impression by performing in The Music Academy and Sabhas for Bharatanatyam. She has lent voice to many Tamil music albums and also worked as a playback singer in Kannada language. She has made several cover song videos on YouTube. One of her famous albums is Heartu Oru Nodi Nikkudhey. Akshaya has worked with many famous Carnatic Musicians and Music Directors.
