Madhu Iyer is a singer by profession, and most of her work is in the Tamil music industry. Her real name is Madhumitha Srinivasan. She took to music like a fish took to the water and started her musical journey at the tender age of four. She completed her elementary education from Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School in Chennai. She is a social enthusiast and is in association with the Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School in Mylapore as well as the Madras School of Social work. She is also a model at an apparel brand called Threads and Knots in which belongs to the city of Vellore. 

She married Aravind Rajagopalan in the year 2013 and is happily married ever since. Madhu was also a contestant in the television show called Apoorva Ragangal. The show aired on Vijay TV in the year 2002 and was very popular among the masses. She was the winner of the Apoorva Ragangal competition and chosen as the best performer among all her contenders. She was also a contestant in the singing reality show called Airtel Super Singer, in its third season. She made it through many rounds in the show but underwent elimination after the stage called the dedication round in an episode which broadcasted on March 3, 2011.

After completing a Bachelor’s degree, she took a Master’s degree in human resource management at Queen Mary’s College, Chennai, India. She took keyboard training from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Greenwich, London, UK, with a Trinity Topper award. Madhu Iyer has two children, namely, Arathana and Ekalaya. She is fluent in Hindi, English, Tamil, and Sanskrit languages. Madhu Iyer was selected as the best performer in a 2012-2015 Indian Tamil reality television singing competition, “Super Singer T20,” which was aired on Star Vijay. In 2019, Madhu Iyer was nominated for the Best Female Playback Singer Award presented by Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards for her song “Sethupochu Manasu” in Peranbu movie. The song was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
