Madhu Iyer is a singer by profession, and most of her work is in the Tamil music industry. Her real name is Madhumitha Srinivasan, and she was born in the state of Kerala in India. She took to music like a fish took to the water and started her musical journey at the tender age of four. She completed her elementary education from Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School in Chennai, and then went to college in Queen Mary’s college in Kottayam. She is a social enthusiast and is in association with the Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School in Mylapore as well as the Madras School of Social work. She is also a model at an apparel brand called Threads and Knots in which belongs to the city of Vellore. Madhu Iyer currently lives in the city of dreams, Mumbai, in Maharashtra.

She married Aravind Rajagopalan in the year 2013 and is happily married ever since. Madhu was also a contestant in the television show called Apoorva Ragangal. The show aired on Vijay TV in the year 2002 and was very popular among the masses. She was the winner of the Apoorva Ragangal competition and chosen as the best performer among all her contenders. She was also a contestant in the singing reality show called Airtel Super Singer, in its third season. She made it through many rounds in the show but underwent elimination after the stage called the dedication round in an episode which broadcasted on March 3, 2011.

The husband of a judge in the show Apoorva Ragangal, Sriram Parasuram is Madhu Iyer’s trainer in the genre of Hindustani music. Sriram is a classical player himself as well as a well-known singer. Madhu Iyer’s guru in Carnatic music is P. Vasanthkumar. Dr. M. S. Subbulakshmi who is an Indian Carnatic singer belonging to Madurai in Tamil Nadu was very impressed by Madhu’s voice and conveyed her appreciation by gifting Madhu the statue of the idol, goddess Sarasvathi. Madhu Iyer’s talent got wide applause by other great people from the music industry including Mr. K. Balachander, Mrs. P. Suseela, etc, who are great contributors to the music industry and appreciated by one and all. Madhu Iyer also worked as a playback singer for films and is most for her work as a playback singer in the movies Amara Kaaviyam which released in the year 2014, Oru Kuppai Kathai which hit the theatres in 2018 and Kaadu which released in 2014.
