Krishna Raj

Krishna Raj is a music director in the Indian film Industry. He has extensively worked in Tamil movies. He is a playback singer and has sung more than three thousand devotional songs in various languages. The artist was born on 25, December 1951 and hailed from Veminbadithalam in the Salem district. He went to the Tamil Nadu Government Music College for his professional training in music where he earned the title of ‘Sangeet Vidvan’ for his amazing singing skills. He also received the award for the Best student in the year 1984. He joined the industry as an assistant to the music director R. Ramanujan for a film which could get released at the box office due to some circumstances. The movie had the name of ‘Arah.’ He got the golden chance of his career through the song ‘Vellavikkaa Pichu Vellavikka’ from the movie ‘Kathal Kotai.’

He gave more than three hundred songs to the Tamil Film Industry throughout his lifetime. Krishna Raj worked very hard in his life to earn a decent place in this industry. He became the magnet to attract the highest number of Awards in his journey to success. He received the Best Singer Award in the year 1997 by the Tamil Nadu Government for the song ‘Thanjavuru Manneduthu’ from the movie Porkkaalam. He got the Thumbs up Award, Ruchi Award, Roja Award, and the Cinema Express Award. He also got honored with the Tamil Nadu cultural Award. All these achievements boosted the confidence of the singer, and he got motivated and inspired to give his hundred percent to the world of cinema. The singer is famous for his devotional songs in more than three languages.

He used to sing for the religious events during the initial period of his career and gradually became fond of it. The fondness grew to such an extent that he sung more than three thousand religious songs in the Hindi language and about thousands of them for private albums. He also had a forte in Christian Devotional songs. With his melodies voice, he stole the heart of his followers who attained a moment of the piece through his music. The artist worked in many movies. The most notable ones are Aroobam, it got directed by Puneet Jairaj and belonged to the genre of horror and Menoratam by Sudarshan Salendra with the star cast of Sai Ram Shankar and Rashmi Menon. The Film ‘Maraghathukkadu’ also became extremely famous for its songs sung by Krishna Raj.
