Chitralaya Gopu was born on 30th June 1931. He is a Director by profession and has directed many Tamil movies. He is also a screenwriter and wrote about 60 films. He received his primary education from St. Josephs in Chengalpattu. His birth name is Sadagopan, and he preferred writing comedy and humorous drama and also used to act in those. One of his childhood friends, "C.V. Sridhar" was his batch mate in his school, and he also wrote many theatre plays and he used to act as the male lead in those scripts. Both of them carried each other all the way through success and failures and never left each other, even when Sridhar got a chance to direct his debut picture, he asked Sadagopan to work on the comic part of the script.

Chitralaya made his debut with a Sridhar debut directorial venture, “ Kalyana Parisu” which is about two college friends, Baskar, and Vasanthi. A misunderstanding is created between them which leads to Baskar’s expel from the college. Vasanthi realizes her mistake and apologizes to him. Later, they fell in love. Baskar starts to live in Vasanthi’s house, and this leads to Vasanthi’s sister falling for Baskar, complications arise and Vasanthi sacrifices her love so that her sister could marry him. They both get married and move to Coimbatore. Shortly, Vasanthi’s mother falls sick and dies. Vasanthi moves to Coimbatore along with her sister and Baskar.

Geeta soon realizes Baskar and Vasanthi past love and accuses them of having an affair. Geeta falls sick and also gets pregnant in the process, and she dies after delivering her son and asks Baskar to promise her that he will find Vasanthi and get married as soon as possible. Baskar tries to find her but fails and discovers that she is getting married. Baskar reaches the place but finds her already married and hands over his son as her gift to keep his wife’s promise. Soon after the success of the movie, Chitralaya decided to open a production house and named it “Chitralaya Pictures” and from then he was known as “Chitralaya Gopu.”

His other works include Pyar Kiye Jaa, Ooty Varai Uravu, Shanti Nilayam, Athaiya Mamiya, Alankari, Vasanthi, Dilli Babu, Rasi Nalla Rasi, Veettuku Veedu, Kalamadi Kalam, Kodimalar, etc. He received many nominations and awards for his work. His last film, “Ulagam Pirandhadhu Enakkaga” was released in 1990. He is married to Kamala and worked in the industry for more than 30 years, his works are worth watching and one can learn a lot from that.

Chakri Toleti hails from Visakhapatnam, India. He was born on April 20 1981. Chakri Toleti is a famous screenplay writer, actor, director and VFX coordinator in the film industry. He is well known for his works in both Kollywood and Tollywood. He made his acting debut when he was eight years old. His father Mr. Thambu was a good friend of a few leading directors like K. Vishwanath, K. Balachandar, Bhagyaraj, Bharathi Raja and Jandhyala. His father used to help them in writing scripts and dialogues. That made Chakri captures his debut film. K. Vishwanath was the one who offered him a role in his film Sagarasangamam. His debut film as a child artist was Sagarasangamam. In that talkie, he played the role of a photographer. And that character made him grapple many other movies. After that, he has acted in about 15 movies, and his last movie as a child artist was Paila Pachis. After that movie, for around 15 years he did not get in any other flicks. He substantially concentrated on his studies. He left to U.S.A to pursue his bachelor’s in VFX and got through it fortunately. After the completion of his degree, he joined Disney and worked in the VFX department for three years. After that, he started running his entrepreneurial organization. Besides doing all that, he was also waiting for an opportunity in movies. He came back with a movie called Dashavatharam where he played a character of Sai Ram as a friend of Kamal Hassan. When that movie shooting was taking place in Florida, he was the one who arranged the team for stunt sequences out there as he completed his bachelor degree there he was familiar with all the things over there. And that helped the movie team a lot. Meanwhile, the bonding between Kamal Hassan and Chakri also became stronger. Once, Chakri happened to see a film called The Wednesday. He liked the content in the film and discussed the script with Kamal Hassan. Kamal immensely liked the script and asked him to direct that film in both Telugu and Tamil featuring him as a hero. And that is how Unnaipol Oruvan happened. It is a bilingual film directed in Telugu as well as in Tamil. In Tamil, it starred Kamal Hassan and Mohanlal in the lead roles. In Telugu, Venkatesh had played Mohanlal’s role and the movie in Telugu is titled as Eenadu. After these movies, he bagged an opportunity to direct Ajith for Billa-II. Next, he directed a movie called Kolaiyuthir Kaalam which featured Nayan as the leading actress. Currently, he is directing a film in Hindi which is the remake of his Tamil movie Kolaiyuthir Kaalam. Besides directing, he has also tried his luck at acting in a few of the movies like Chinna Veedu, Mayuri, Billa-II. He is quite inquisitive and passionate. He has had great exposure to the film world. He loves watching films. What kind of genre it might be he like watching them. He'll not stick up on only to a particular genre. His favourite directors are Alfred Hitchcock and Clint Eastwood. He loves the way they both connect with the audience. He has a lot of interesting and new ideas. And he is trying to implement them one by one. All he needs is a platform to explore his skills.

C. V. Sridhar, full name is Chithamur Vijayaraghuvulu Sridhar, born on 22nd July 1933, was an Indian screenwriter and film director. His zodiac sign was cancer. He directed over 60 films in the three languages of Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. He was born in Chengalpattu, Madras Presidency, British India. He did his schooling from St. Josephs Higher Secondary School, Madras. In school, he started writing plays and staging them from the 7th standard itself. When he was 18 years of age, he went to AVM productions with a story Latchiyavathi, but they rejected his story though Avvai T. K. Shanmugam liked his story very much and he asked him to prepare the script. It was one of the best dramas TKS Brothers ever hosted. Jupiter Pictures liked the play as well and asked some writers to write the script for the film, but TK Shanmugum insisted that a chance should be given to Sridhar to write the script, and this was when he entered the cinemas. Sridhar then wrote dialogues for the Tamil and Telugu film ‘Parivartana’. He then wrote for many other films like Maaman Magal, ‘Maheshwari’, Amara Deepam, Maadharula Mannikkam, Engal Vettu Mahalaskhmi, Yaar Paiyan, Manjal Mahimai Uthama Puthiran, and Punar Jenmam. When working as a writer, he gained knowledge about the film production and became a producer in partnership with ‘Krishnamoorthi’, ‘Govindarajan’, and ‘Sundararajan’ in Venus Production. They produced movies like Amara Deepam and Uthama Puthiran, which ran for over 25 weeks and became a history at the Tamil Cinema. He then started his own Production Company called Chithralaya with few of his friends, and they produced many hit films like Vennira Adai, Nenjil Or Aalayam and much more. Nenjil Or Aalayam was made again in Hindi language and called Dil Ek Mandir, and he got nominated for two Filmfare Awards, one for Best Director and the other for Best Writer. He married ‘Devasena’. He gave opportunities to many new directors as a producer and many new actors (for lead roles and as well as side roles or as a comedian). His film Kaadhalikka Neramallai got great responses and was made again in the Hindi language. His movies were a remix of comedy, serious scenes ,good songs and great scripts. He is said to have a great sense of audience’s reaction and writing and directing films which reached the audience. In 1997, his health got worse, but he didn’t take any support from anyone and died of a heart attack on 20th October 2008 in Chennai. He got the certificate of Merit for Best Feature Film in Tamil in 1959 for Kalyana Parisu and again the President’s silver medal for Best Feature Film In Tamil in 1962 for Nenjil Or Aalayam. He died on October 28, 2008, at the age of 75 years.
