SM Sriramulu Naidu (1910 – 1976), who managed three film studios, deserves credit. He was named "Coimbatore Movie Mogul," implying a legendary mark he had established in the film industry. Munuswami, his father, was a station master when he was born in Tiruchi in 1910. Naidu used to work in his father's bakery. In 1936, he founded Central Studio in Coimbatore with his mates R.K. Ramakrishnan Chettiar, B. Rangaswamy, and Aamikannu Vincent. However, he left them in 1944 and established Pakshiraj Studios in 1945. At the beginning of the 1940s, Naidu decided to enter the film industry. Their first Tamil production, "Aryamala" (1941), was released at the Central Studios under Pakshiraja Films. This was his first movie as a co-director, and it was a huge success.
Malaikallan (1954), one of his most prominent films produced by Pakshiraja Studio, was made in six different languages, including the original Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and even Sinhala.
