S.S Chakravarthy, the famous Kollywood producer who goes by the banner name; ‘NIC ARTS’. If anyone in the industry, hears that NIC Arts is producing a film, everyone would know and confirm that it is the one and only, ‘Thala - Ajith’ of the Kollywood industry. S.S Chakravarthy began his venture with Ajith in Rasi, which was just average amongst the audience. However, as they say, ‘If you don’t get it right the first time, there is always a second!’ And that is just what happened. He hit the jackpot and made a name for himself with his second super hit, once again starring Ajith along with Simran and cameo appearance by Jyothika, directed by SJ Suryah - Valli.

S.S Chakravarthy went on to produce several other films such as; Mugavaree, Citizen, Red, Villain, Ji, Anjaneya, Varalaru; all starring Ajith. However, there were and are streaks of a few films starring other actors; one with Vikram being Kadhal Sadugudu, the other starring his own son in two films - Renigunta and 18 Vayasu, the rest with none other than ‘chinna superstar - Silambarasan’ - Kaalai, Vaalu and to be released this year, Vettai Mannan. However, S.S Chakravarthy had trouble with standing on his own two feet during the time of producing Vaalu, which had to be financially supported by Silambarasan himself, having heard this, Ajith decided to lend a hand to the producer in his time of need and work with him soon on ‘Thala 57’, alongside Vishnuvardhan being the director.

The producer has not just stuck to producing films but has also gone out of his way to being an actor as well. He performed the role of a policeman in the film, Thoppi in the year 2015. We wish him all the best in all his future endeavours.
