Pragathi Guruprasad was born in the year 1997 in Singapore to Guru Prasad and Kanaga. She learnt Carnatic music from the age of 5 through her father. Their family relocated to California and there she learnt the vocal Carnatic from Sangeetha Swaminathan. Sangeetha was the student of the popular Carnatic vocalist Sudha Ragunathan. Due to her passion in music, her father took her to Chennai to participate in Airtel Super Singer, which was organized by Star Vijay TV. Pragathi’s talent was really enjoyed by the judges as well as the voice trainer Ananth Padmanabhan. As Pragathi is well versed in Carnatic music, she was able to move up to the next level in the competition easily. She was one among the competitors in the final of the Airtel Super Singer junior Season 3 held on 2012. She has won the hearts of the viewers as well as the third place in the finals. Pragathi was also awarded as the Best Classical Singer in the Airtel Super Singer junior Season 3. The popular music directors got very much impressed with her voice and gave her a good opportunity to sing under their music direction. She has worked with G. V. Prakash and Anirudh Ravichander. Now Pragathi is booked in the Tamil film Tharai Thappattai with Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar. In this film Pragathi will do the role of the younger sister of actor cum director Sasi Kumar.

Heera Rajagopal

Heera is a popular Indian actress who was active from 1991-1999. She has worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Born on December 29, 1971, in Chennai, she has chiselled features which were her strength. She has graduation in Psychology from WCC, Chennai. Heera made her entry into film industry with the Tamil flick Idhayam, opposite Murali. The flick was a great success not only in Tamil but also in Telugu. She worked in a Bollywood flick Amaanat (1994) sharing screenspace with Sanjay Dutt. Nirnayam is her debut Malayalam flick, in which she shared screenspace with Mohanlal. She acted in noteworthy films of Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Ravichandran, Ajith Kumar, Balakrishna etc. She aided Ajith Kumar during his initial days of film career. Though she had the required glamour quotient to survive in the industry she didn’t sustain. Heera was reputed for her commercials in 1990s. She gave good performances in Idhayam (1991), Thiruda Thiruda (1993), The Gentleman (1994),and Nirnayam (1995). Heera did the role of Manisha Koirala in the bilingual Criminal. Two of Heera’s films Sathi Leelavathi and Kadhal Kottai were remade in Hindi, and incidentally Sushmita Sen reprised her role in both the versions. Heera was seen in a cameo appearance in the Bollywood flick Mr. Bechara, starring Sridevi and Anil Kapoor. Heera had worked with Saratkumar in several movies. Heera, never in her wildest dreams, thought that she would become an actress. At the beginning of her career Heera was asked to work as the double of Tina Munim, which she refused. She was rejecting many offers until Idayam happened. Heera entered into wedlock in 2002 to a businessman named Pushkar Yadav but they got separated in 2006. Heera is a very private person. Though she quit films, she has a great purpose in life. Heera quit film industry out of her own choice.
