Dr Saravanan

Saravanan is an Indian actor who works predominately in Tamil films. He was in only Malayalam movie called Orange; this was his only movie outside Tamil Film Industry. The actor’s native place is Salem. His mother and father have six children, and he is second eldest among his siblings. He comes from a reputed and well-educated family; his mother is being a nurse and his father, Inspector General of Police in Salem. The actor is himself an Alumina from the Government arts college of Salem. After his graduation degree, he shifted to Chennai to pursue the acting course in Adyar Film Institute. The actor was among the celebrity of 1990 and so was seen in many lead roles in 90’s period but later his popularity among the audiences started diminishing in the next decade.

The actor tried his hands in directions and came up with venture Thaayumaanavan to present before audiences. After some time, he was determined to make a comeback in the industry as acting is the not just mere interest for him but passion and life. We saw him in the movie Paruthiveeran, a venture by Ameer Sultan. He played a significant role if a character’s uncle in the movie. This bagged him many critical acclaims and won prestigious awards like Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor and Vijay Award for best the supporting role of the year. This success in his attempt thrust him up on bagging many roles and the prominent one includes in the movie Veeramum Eeramum
