Suresh Krissna is a South Indian movie director; he has directed many Tamil, Telugu movies and has also worked in Bollywood. Suresh Krissna was born on 29th June 1959 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is a director with a total number of 36 movies. In 1989 he won the Nandi Award for Best Director for his movie Prema. Suresh Krissna was born in Mumbai and is the son of R. Krishan and K. Sharada.

His mother tongue is Tamil. Suresh Krissna went to Chembur, Bombay for his schooling and later attended the University of Bombay where he pursued Bachelor in Communication (B.com). After graduating Suresh Krissna went to the Natya Academy, Bombay to study Dramatic Arts. He is married to Chandra Suresh; he has three siblings, two brothers, Sreeram, Satheesh and a sister Shanthi Krishna.

His journey started as a back-stage manager and as an assistant director for many plays which he did under the famous director K.R Parmeshwar. The theatre he was a part of involved many languages like Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Sindi, and Tamil. Later he also worked at Prasad Productions Pvt. Ltd in Mumbai. Suresh first Independent directorial film was Sathya which was a remake of the Hindi movie Arjun; the movie came out in 1988.

Suresh Krissna became famous after he worked with Rajnikanth in the 1992 movie Annamalai. The Rajnikanth starrer movie was an instant hit; it also featured Kushboo and Sarath Babu, and the story is about the bond between a milkman and son of a businessman. The movie became successful at the box office with a 175-day run.

Another success was waiting for Suresh Krissna, In 1995 Rajnikanth and Suresh Krissna paired up once again for the movie Baasha, which received an appraisal and it broke Annamalai’s record at the Box Office. The movie is considered as one of the breaking points in Rajnikanth’s career. In 2001, Suresh Krissna directed a Telugu movie, Daddy, in which he worked with Chiranjeevi, Simran, and Ashima Bhalla in the lead roles.

The film was about a man who starts a fraud business. Suresh Krissna has directed movies like Baba (2002), Rocky (2006), Ilaignan (2011), etc. In 2012, Suresh and Rajnikanth collaborated yet again in a romantic movie Katari Veera Surasundarangi, it was the first 3D film in Kannada cinema, this movie also got Suresh Krissna nominated for the SIIMA Award for Best Director. Suresh Krissna in his long career has worked with leading stars like Chiranjeevi, Rajnikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Kamal Haasan, Vishnuvardhan and Sunjay Dutt. He is a much-loved personality in South India.

Superstar Rajnikanth in an interview said that directors Suresh Krissna and Mani Ratnam are the ones who made him a superstar. In 2012 Suresh Krissna published a book called ‘My Days with Baasha’, in which the director has penned down his memories of making super hit films with Rajnikanth. Even today, the movies Annamalai and Baasha are the most talked movies in South India.

RV Udhaya Kumar was born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. He is a film director by profession and has been in the industry since 1988 and has directed more than 25 films. His father is ‘Venkatasamy’, and his mother is ‘Kannammal’. His family belongs to an agricultural background; he received his primary education from Arts and Science College of the government and did his B.Sc. from Coimbatore. RV Udhaya Kumar later joined the Madras Film University to earn a diploma in filmmaking and during his stay there he used to direct and produce films. He is not only a director but has also acted in many movies. RV Udhaya Kumar started his career as an assistant director in flicks like ‘Janani’, ‘Neram Vandhachu’, etc. In 1998, he made his directorial debut with ‘Urimai Geetham’, which is the story about the politician who becomes a CM and when the function is organized to celebrate his victory, he is assassinated, and the whole story revolves around finding the real assassinator. The movie received positive reviews from the critics and was loved by the audience. From the success of his first flick, he came up with the second movie,”Puthiya Vaanam” which is the story based on the reincarnation of a police officer who gets killed. His son follows in the footsteps of his father and joins the police to find the killer of his father. The picture did a good business at the box office and received great response from the audience and the critics appreciated the storyline and the plot. He continued to direct movies including ‘Urudhi Mozhi’, ‘Chinna Gounder’, ‘Ejamaan’, ‘Ponnumani’, etc. In 1994, RV Udhaya Kumar released ‘Rajakumaran’. The film could not do well at the box office, but the soundtrack created by Iaity Raja turned out to be a major hit. As an actor, RV Udhaya Kumar was part of the cast of Chinna Gounder, Ejamaan, Pasanga 2, Prabhu Sattai, Anjali, etc. Chinna Gounder released in 1992 portrayed RV Udhaya Kumar in a different role where he played a soft-spoken village chief which was very different from the larger than life characters that he used to play in other pictures. The movie was a grand hit at the theater. RV Udhaya Kumar worked with Superstar ‘Rajinikanth’ in the picture, “Ejamaan” and also worked with Kamal Hassan in ‘Singaravelan’. He directed his last flick in 2005, “Karka Kasadara” and since then hasn’t directed any movies. He also wrote songs for many movies including ‘Shree’, ‘Subash’, Ejamaan, etc.

Sakthi Chidambaram is a director for Tamil Films and an Indian Film director. Sakthi's birth name is Dhinakaran. Sakthi wrote dialogs for screenplays like Veettai Paru Nattai Paru, Pokkiri Thambi, Kottai Vaasal, Uzhiyan, Pathavi Pramanam. Chidambaram started his first directional Cinema in the year 1997 along with Samrat which is a remake of the Baazig Hindi Screenplay. Chidambaram directed Vettu Onnu Thundu Rendu in the year 1998, but unfortunately, both films were a failure. Later Dhinakaran changed his name to Sakthi Chidambaram. Along with Sathyaraj, he directed Ennamma Kannu. The play had received box-office hits. The success of the film had brought him fame and recognition. Later Sakthi directed a play along with Karthik, called Lovely. His next composition was Charlie Chaplin,This was a hit and it led to remakes in other languages. Sakthi has made other films like Kadhal Kirukkan, Inidhu Inidhu Kadhal Inidhu, but those were box-office disasters. In 2004, Sakthi directed a film is a satire on politics and cinemas. That movie faced many controversial issues before releasing and most of the Tamil politicians and actors were opposed to the release of the screenplay. In 2005, Chidambaram worked along with Sibiraj, Chaya Singh, and Vikranth on the movie Pattasu but it did not complete its production. Sakthi later directed with Satyaraj in Kovai Brothers and Englishkaran, and both were successful. The actress Suhasini lashed out at Sakthi Chidambaram by giving bad reviews his screenplay in Rajadhi Raja. For the movie Kaavalan, Sakthi bought Tamil Nadu rights. The filmography directory works started from the year 1997 and continued till 2015. All those directory works were done in Tamil. Approximately Sakthi composed fourteen movies. Sakthi acted approximately in four films since in the year 1999. Sakthi has produced five screenplays which are Rajadhi Raja, Kovai Brothers, Sandai, Guru Sishyan, Viyabari. Sakthi Chidambaram was take aback because ofthe review that Suhasini gave for Rajadhi Raja. On one occasion, he spoke about Suhasini's reviews and the way she dared to comment on his work and not say anything about bad direction by other directors like Balu Mahendra, Mani Rathnam or K. Balachandar. "She works for just 10,000 pay for each episode and in that position, Suhasini commented on my movie", he said. For the story, Kaavalan Sakthi he decided to release the movie worldwide. By seeing the story of Kaavalan many film directors like Lootty, Guru Sishyan, Vyabari, Ennamma Kannu, and Sandai were impressed and released the rights of the Screenplay.
