Rekha Haricharan is an Indian film director and costume designer who has worked in the Tamil language film industry. She married Haricharan, a film director, and the couple was blessed with three daughters. She watched Sri Velukkudi Krishnan's spiritual speech on television, translated it into English, and posted it to Facebook after listening. Sri Velukkudi Krishnan spoke about the Bhagavad Gita and the Bhagavatham. Rekha Haricharan believes that doing this has helped her subtitling abilities. She is even more eager to introduce Tamil movies to a global audience. She started her career in subtitling with her first film, Thoovanam (2007), which is directed by her husband along with Newton.
