Nelson Dilipkumar is an Indian screenwriter and director, popular amongst the audience for his work in the movie Kolamavu Kokila. Mostly known for his pre-dominant involvement in Kollywood movies, plays, and Tamil TV shows, he has been honored at the Norway Film Festival with the Best Screenplay Award. Born on 21st June 1984 in Chennai, Nelson graduated from New College, Chennai with a degree in Visual communication.
The initial stages of Nelson's career saw him working as an assistant script-writer for Vijay TV (Star Vijay). He made his debut through Kolamavy Kokila under Lyca Productions, which won him the award at Norway Festival. Apart from that, Times of India mentioned his name in the list of Promising directors who made a mark in 2018.
