V. Prabhakar is a writer in the South Indian Film Industry. He was born in Tamil Nadu. V. Prabhakar mainly writes dialogues for South films. His main area of work is in Tamil and Telugu films. He made his debut as a dialogue writer through the 2006 film Style. The film was in the Telugu language.
This movie was based on a talented young dancer who was involved in a fierce competition with another champion dancer, but unfortunately she damaged her leg in an accident. The story is whether she will be able to regain her lost confidence or not. It was a very good movie with spicy dialogues. His second movie was Pokkiri in the year 2007. This was his debut in Tamil Cinema as a dialogue writer. Before Prabhakar got into this profession of dialogue writing, he aspired to be a film director. He has also directed a Kannada film named Vajra.
The film was released in the year 1998. The film did not receive any positive response from the audience and so the failure damped all his confidence as a director. He decided to leave the profession and be a dialogue writer. Pokkiri was one of the best films that he has worked in as a dialogue writer. The dialogues were very well written and suited the actor who was acting.
His next film as a dialogue writer came after four years of working in Pokkiri. He took this gap because he wanted to write more exciting and spicy dialogues and he could not get any suitable film to apply those. In 2011, he was the dialogue writer in the Tamil film Sattapadi Kutram. The dialogues of the hero were highly praised, and the film succeeded in the box office as well. Next, after a gap of about three years, he returned as the dialogue writer of the Tamil film Pagadai Pagadai. The film was released in 2014 and was a blockbuster. He was again not seen working in any film for three years.
He is presently working as a dialogue writer in a Tamil film. The name of the film is Vaigai Express. The film is about to release after a few weeks from now. V. Prabhakar is a demanding dialogue writer, but he does not work in all the films. He works only where he finds it suitable. V. Prabhakar currently resides in Chennai. He is planning to return as a director in the industry very soon.
LG Ravichander was born in Seerkazhi in Thanjavur district. Ravichander worked as an assistant director for 15 years before directing his first film. Bhoopathi Pandian is Ravichander’s mentor. Ravichander’s idea about cinema is that if a person gets an opportunity in cinema, he should use it to the extreme and bring good results. Waiting for the star actor will not bring success to a new director, says Ravichander.
In 2006, Ravichander got the opportunity to direct a film named, Anbu Thozhi. The debut film of Ravichander has Thol Thirumavalavan, the leader of Viduthalai Siruthaigal Katchi, as the male lead. “Prabhu,” Preethi Varma and “Mayilsamy” were also in the cast. The film got its theatrical release on 2007. Anbu Thozhi is based on LTTE leader Prabhakaran. The film was censored four times and it is the first film to be censored these many times. After Anbu Thozhi, Ravichander didn’t get many opportunities. So, he joined as an associate to Bhoopathi Pandiyan and worked in films including Thiruvilayadal Arambam and Kadhal Solla Vandhen.
Later Ravichander got an opportunity to direct “Masani” with “Ramki,” “Akhil,” “Iniya,” “Roja,” “Y Gee Mahendra” and Sarath Babu. Later, Ravichander directed, Aindhaam Thalaimurai Sidha Vaidhiya Sigamani with Bharath Srinivasan, Nandita Swetha, “Karunakaran,” “Manobala” and Thambi Ramaiah. Aindhaam Thalaimurai Sidha Vaidhiya Sigamani was a hit film for Ravichander and Bharath. The film has 23 comedy artists and in fact, it was a record. Ravichander’s next film is a horror movie like his Masani. But, the film has a specialty in its screenplay, unlike the regular horror movies.
Ravichander says that if a tough story is shot with a simple screenplay, then the film will succeed for sure. According to Ravichander Story and Screenplay are the main things for the success of a film. Naan Avalai Sandhitha Pothu is the upcoming comedy entertainer by LG Ravichander, which has Santhosh Prathap and Chandini Tamilarasan in the leading roles. The real life story has Shanthi Williams, “Chaams,” GM Kumar and “Singamuthu” in the cast.
