Jaya Prakash is an Indian film director and producer. He is famous for his romantic drama Sathi Sanam (1997). Jaya Prakash completed his graduation from Loyola College in Chennai with a degree in Tamil Literature. He then pursued his master’s from Presidency College and a further master’s in Philosophy from Annamalai University. He then earned a doctorate from the University of Bharathisadan. He began his journey as a journalist in 1987. Subsequently, he entered the film industry as an assistant to the director Bharathiraja. Sathi Sanam (1997), his debut, was a great success. The film gained a tax-free status from the government. Kadhaai FM (2005), Jaya Prakash's second film was described as an “out and out film for the youth, by the youth for the youth.” The film starred famous actors like Manikandan,
