M. V. Panneerselvam

M V Panneerselvam is an Indian cinematographer, director of photography, editor, dialogue writer, and screenwriter who mainly works in the Tamil Film Industry. He was born in Tamil Nadu, India. After completing his early education, he went to the M.G.R. Government Film and Television Training Institute (earlier known as the Adyar Film Institute), to pursue graduation in Diploma in Film Technology. His wife’s name is Madhu. After completing his graduation, M. V. Panneerselvam began his career as a cinematographer in a 1992 Indian Tamil-language drama film “Sugamana Sumaigal,” directed by R. Parthiban. In 1995, he worked in the three films such as “Pullakuttikaran,” written & directed by Parthiban; “Makkal Aatchi,” a political thriller film directed by R. K. Selvamani, and “Raja Muthirai,” directed by R. K. Selvamani. In 1997, he again worked in the three films as a cinematographer. The films are “Adimai Changili,” directed by R. K. Selvamani; “ Abhimanyu Bio coming soon... >> Read More... ,” a crime based film directed by K Subash, and “Arasiyal” (transl. Politics), directed by R. K. Selvamani. After working in the film “Ninaivirukkum Varai” in 1998, he engaged in three films in 1999. In 1999, he is considered one of the cinematographers in the Guinness World Record film named “Suyamvaram,” a Tamil language comedy Dramedy film. The film starred an ensemble cast from actors in the Tamil Film Industry and shot by a vast technical team from the industry.

He is famous for his cinematographic work in the films such as Roja Koottam, Devathaiyai Kanden, Shock, Velli Thirai, Pillaiyat Theru Kadaisi Veedu, etc. Throughout his career, he has worked as a cinematographer in more than twenty-five films in Tamil.
